The first thing on most peoples’ minds when they have a legal problem is, “How much is an attorney going to cost me?” At Park Segler LLP, we do not believe that quality representation should be outrageously expensive, and we pride ourselves on offering low, reasonable rates. Although we keep our rates as low as possible, it would be misleading to say that dealing with legal issues is “cheap” in the general sense. In addition to attorney’s fees, there can also be court costs and other administrative costs involved.
Unfortunately, that is the way our legal system is, and while we pride ourselves in providing low cost services, we do so in a way that will not decrease the quality of your representation. Basically, we will not make it any more expensive than it has to be for your interests to be represented. Whatever the situation may be, we will always be honest and up front when it comes to fees and costs, and we will do everything we can to provide the most cost effective service possible.
Personal Injury:
Contingency Fee • This means that you pay absolutely nothing unless we win the case. Our fee will come out of the amount we recover for you after we have won.Divorce/Child Custody:
Retainer Fee + Hourly Rate • A retainer fee is an initial payment, similar to a deposit, which is paid up front so that we can get started on the case. Generally, part of the retainer fee will be for any court or administrative costs that come up in the beginning, and the other part goes toward initial attorney’s fees.• The hourly rate is initially charged toward the retainer. If the amount of work required exceeds this amount, then the client will be billed at an hourly rate thereafter. The hourly rate can vary depending on the type of issue involved, but we keep them lower than most regardless of the issue.
